Spond says it's free to use and makes its money on payments, with a UK fee of £0.20 + 2.5% per product, which the club covers by default or can pass to members (Spond, checked 18 October 2026). Canva's free plan makes fixture and result graphics in minutes; AI writes the match report from the scorer's notes. Get parents' permission before posting photos of junior players, and follow your governing body's safeguarding guidance.
CASC and Gift Aid
GOV.UK says registered Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) don't pay tax on some income used for qualifying purposes, such as bank interest, Gift Aid donations and trading profits under £50,000 a year, and can apply for business rates relief of up to 80%. You can't claim Gift Aid on membership fees (GOV.UK: tax relief for CASCs, checked 18 October 2026). Charities and CASCs can claim 25p for every £1 donated through Gift Aid (GOV.UK).
