VAT threshold checker
Enter your taxable turnover for the last 12 months to see your rolling total against the £90,000 VAT registration threshold, and how much headroom you have.
How the threshold works
You must register if your total taxable turnover for the last 12 months goes over £90,000, or if you expect it to go over £90,000 in the next 30 days alone. If you go over on a rolling basis, you have to register within 30 days of the end of the month you went over. You can ask to cancel if taxable turnover falls below £88,000 (GOV.UK). Check the total every month, not just at your year end: it's a rolling 12 months.
If you register, use the quote and VAT calculator to add VAT to quotes.
