AI social media tools for builders in the UK

Building work photographs well, and long jobs give you a story: the hole in the ground, the steel going in, the finished kitchen. That progress is what makes a builder's feed worth following, and it shows future customers how you run a site. The tools below help you turn site photos and short clips into posts without spending evenings on it.

Prices were re-checked on each provider's own page; the date is next to each one. Rules and figures from GOV.UK are linked where they're used.

Progress posts

Post the same job at three or four stages, with what's happening and why. A short time-lapse or walk-round clip can be cut into shorter reels with Opus Clip (free plan with limited credits; checked 14 October 2026). Get the customer's permission before you start posting their home.

Show a safe site

Photos that show scaffolding, PPE and a tidy site send a message. On domestic jobs, CDM 2015 client duties normally fall to the contractor (HSE), so a messy site photo can say more than you intend. Check each photo before it goes out.

Badges and approvals

If you show trade association, warranty or directory logos, keep them current. Misusing a trust mark is banned outright under UK consumer law (CMA). Don't let an AI tool add awards or memberships when drafting posts.

What to check before you choose

  • Customer permission for every photo of their home.

  • Avoid showing unsafe work, even briefly.
  • Keep a folder per job so photos are easy to find later.

A prompt to start with

Paste this into ChatGPT or Claude, filling in the brackets:

Turn these site notes and photo descriptions into a five-post series for [business name], a builder in [town]: [paste]. One post per stage from start to finish, plain British English, no hype, under 70 words each, and end the last one with how to get a quote.

Free tools

Price a job with the quote and VAT calculator (20%, 5%, 0% and reverse charge), or work out your day rate (see how much to charge per hour). Before paying for a tool, check it pays for itself with the AI tool break-even calculator.

Questions

How many posts a week should I do?

There's no official number. Pick a rate you can keep up, such as one finished job a week, and use a scheduler such as Buffer (free for up to 3 channels when checked on 15 October 2026) so it goes out while you're working.

Should I show the price of a finished job?

Only if the customer agrees and you can explain what it included. Otherwise describe the scope and timescale.

Are these prices in pounds?

Not all. Where a provider only publishes US dollar prices we show dollars, so check the price in pounds at checkout.

Do you get paid if I sign up?

Some links may become affiliate links, and we'll label them when they do. It doesn't change what we list. See how we make money.
