AI social media tools for locksmiths in the UK

Locksmith content works when it's useful: how to check your front door lock meets your insurer's requirements, what to do if you're locked out, how to spot a rogue trader. It builds trust before someone needs you in a hurry. Keep it practical, local and careful about security details.

Prices were re-checked on each provider's own page; the date is next to each one. Rules and figures from GOV.UK are linked where they're used.

Useful, not risky

Posts on choosing a lock, winter lock maintenance and what to ask a locksmith before they start are easy to draft with ChatGPT. Never post anything that shows a customer's address, door or lock in a way that could help a burglar, and check insurance-related claims against the insurer's own wording.

Photos

Close-ups of hardware and your van are safer than wide shots of a customer's front door. Canva's free plan has templates for tip carousels; schedule a month of posts with Buffer, free for up to 3 channels when checked on 14 October 2026.

Badges and licences

Show trade association logos only while you're a member; misusing a trust mark is banned outright under UK consumer law (CMA). If you advertise key holding, make sure you hold an SIA key holding licence where it's needed (GOV.UK).

A prompt to start with

Paste this into ChatGPT or Claude, filling in the brackets:

Write five short social posts for [business name], a locksmith in [town]: what to do if you're locked out, how to check your locks before winter, what a fair call-out quote should include, a reminder to keep spare keys safe, and one introducing [name]. Plain British English, no scare tactics, no security details, under 60 words each.

Price a job with the quote and VAT calculator (20%, 5%, 0% and reverse charge), or work out your day rate (see how much to charge per hour). Before paying for a tool, check it pays for itself with the AI tool break-even calculator.

Questions

How many posts a week should I do?

There's no official number. Pick a rate you can keep up, such as one finished job a week, and use a scheduler such as Buffer (free for up to 3 channels when checked on 15 October 2026) so it goes out while you're working.

Can I post photos of jobs?

Yes, if nothing identifies the customer's home or reveals their security. Close-ups of hardware are safer than wide shots.

Are these prices in pounds?

Not all. Where a provider only publishes US dollar prices we show dollars, so check the price in pounds at checkout.

Do you get paid if I sign up?

Some links may become affiliate links, and we'll label them when they do. It doesn't change what we list. See how we make money.
