AI quoting tools for roofers in the UK
Roofing quotes depend on access, scaffolding and what you find once the old covering is off. Clear wording on allowances and exclusions does more to prevent disputes than the price itself. Job apps keep your rates consistent, and an AI assistant turns site notes into a clear scope.

Scaffolding and access
Say who supplies the scaffold, how long it's priced for and what happens if it's needed longer. Scaffolding hire with no labour isn't covered by CIS, but erecting scaffolding is part of construction operations (GOV.UK).
Unknowns under the covering
Price allowances for rotten battens, boards or timbers per metre or per sheet, and say they'll be confirmed with photos before the work goes ahead.
Insulation VAT
Installing insulation in homes, including roof insulation, is zero-rated until 31 March 2027 (VAT Notice 708/6). The re-roof itself is normally standard-rated, so show the two separately. The quote calculator handles both.

What to check before you choose
- Photos on quotes (before and after).
- Optional items, such as new guttering or fascias, that customers can tick.
- Good-better-best options for felt and tile choices.
- Accepted quote straight into a job and invoice.
