AI quoting tools for tilers and flooring fitters in the UK

Tiling and flooring quotes go wrong on preparation and wastage: what the substrate needs, who supplies the tiles, and how much extra to allow for cuts. Writing those down clearly matters more than the square-metre rate.

Rate per square metre plus prep

Quote a rate per square metre for laying, plus separate lines for removing old tiles or flooring, levelling, backer boards or tanking, and trims.

Who supplies materials

Say whether you supply the tiles and adhesive or the customer does, and the wastage allowance (it's higher for diagonal or large-format layouts). If the customer supplies tiles, say you're not responsible for shortages.

Subcontract and VAT

When you tile for a builder, CIS deductions apply to your labour, and if you're both VAT registered the invoice normally uses the reverse charge. Work for homeowners isn't reverse charged (HMRC).
