AI review tools for roofers in the UK
Roofing customers can't see most of the work you do, so they lean heavily on reviews to judge whether you'll turn up, do it right and stand behind it. A handful of detailed reviews that mention the job, the tidiness and how you dealt with problems will do more than a long list of one-line ratings.
Prices were re-checked on each provider's own page; the date is next to each one. Rules and figures from GOV.UK are linked where they're used.
Ask when they can see the result
Ask once the scaffold is down and the customer can see the finished roof, or after the first heavy rain if you've fixed a leak. Google lets you share a review link or QR code from your Business Profile (Google). Send it with a few before-and-after photos so the customer remembers the detail.
What's not allowed
Google bans offering discounts, payment or free work for reviews, and asking only the customers you expect to be happy (Google). Since 6 April 2025, UK law also bans fake reviews and reviews that hide an incentive (CMA). Google can stop a profile receiving new reviews for a set time if it finds fake engagement (Google).
Mention what's checkable
When replying, it's reasonable to mention your guarantee or scheme membership, such as NAPIT or CompetentRoofer for replacing roof coverings (GOV.UK), but only if you hold it. Misusing a trust mark is banned outright under the DMCC Act (CMA).

Questions
Can I offer a discount for a Google review?
No. Google's policy bans offering payment, discounts or free goods or services for reviews, and UK law since April 2025 bans concealed incentivised reviews. Ask every customer, with no reward.
How do I reply to a review about a leak after the job?
Thank them for raising it, say you'll come back to inspect, and take the detail offline. Then reply again once it's fixed.
Are these prices in pounds?
Not all. Where a provider only publishes US dollar prices we show dollars, so check the price in pounds at checkout.
Do you get paid if I sign up?
