AI scheduling tools for pest controllers in the UK

Pest control runs on two kinds of work: one-off call-outs (wasps in summer, rats in winter) and contract visits to commercial clients on a fixed cycle. Most treatments also need a follow-up visit. Scheduling software keeps contract visits on cycle, books follow-ups automatically and leaves room for the seasonal rush.

Prices were re-checked on each provider's own page; the date is next to each one. Rules and figures from GOV.UK are linked where they're used.

Contracts and follow-ups

Set contract clients up as recurring jobs and book each treatment's follow-up visits when you book the first. ServiceM8 includes recurring jobs on all plans; Jobber lists online booking and, on Connect, automated client reminders (checked 15 October 2026).

Competence records on the job

Professional rodenticides are only supplied to users who can show proof of competence under the UK rodenticide stewardship scheme (CRRU), and anyone using a professional pesticide must hold a recognised certificate or be directly supervised (HSE). Recording which technicians hold which certificates lets the planner send the right person.

Seasonal peaks

Wasp season fills phones in late summer. Keep contract visits spread through the year so call-outs have room, and group them by area. If you employ technicians, travel between jobs counts as working time for minimum wage purposes (GOV.UK).

What to check before you choose

  • Recurring jobs for contracts, and automatic follow-up visits?
  • Can you record technicians' certificates and send the right person?
  • Can you attach treatment records and photos to each visit?
  • Per-job pricing (ServiceM8) or per-user pricing?
  • Does it work offline in basements and lofts?

A prompt to start with

Paste this into ChatGPT or Claude, filling in the brackets:

You plan the fortnight for [business name], a pest control firm in [area] with [number] technicians. Here are the contract visits, follow-ups due and new call-outs, with postcodes and which certificate each job needs: [paste]. Build a plan grouped by area, match technicians to jobs by certificate, and leave [number] slots a day for urgent call-outs.

Questions

What's the best scheduling app for pest control contracts?

Look for recurring jobs and automatic follow-ups. ServiceM8 includes recurring jobs on all plans, with a free plan for 30 jobs a month. Checked 15 October 2026.

Do my technicians need certificates?

For professional pesticides, HSE says users need a recognised certificate or direct supervision, and professional rodenticides need proof of competence under the stewardship scheme.

Are these prices in pounds?

Not all. Where a provider only publishes US dollar prices we show dollars, so check the price in pounds at checkout.
