AI review tools for locksmiths in the UK
People searching for a locksmith are often locked out and anxious, and they pick based on reviews they can scan in seconds: did the locksmith turn up quickly, charge what they quoted and not damage the door? Genuine recent reviews are one of the few things that separate an honest local locksmith from the call centres that advertise heavily.
Prices were re-checked on each provider's own page; the date is next to each one. Rules and figures from GOV.UK are linked where they're used.
Ask while it's fresh
Ask before you leave or by text within the hour, while the customer remembers how quickly you arrived and what you charged. Share your Google review link or QR code (Google).
Stay inside the rules
Google bans discounts, payment or free work for reviews, and asking only happy customers (Google). UK law since April 2025 bans fake reviews and concealed incentivised reviews (CMA). Misusing a trust mark, such as a trade association logo you aren't entitled to, is banned outright (CMA).
Replies that reassure
When you reply, be specific: thank them, mention the job in general terms, and never include the customer's address or anything about their security. Claude can draft a calm first version of a reply to a negative review; edit it before posting.

Questions
Can I offer a discount for a Google review?
No. Google's policy bans offering payment, discounts or free goods or services for reviews, and UK law since April 2025 bans concealed incentivised reviews. Ask every customer, with no reward.
Should I mention the customer's lock in my reply?
No. Keep replies general so you don't reveal anything about a customer's security.
Are these prices in pounds?
Not all. Where a provider only publishes US dollar prices we show dollars, so check the price in pounds at checkout.
Do you get paid if I sign up?
