AI review tools for heating engineers in the UK

People choosing a heating engineer often do it in a hurry, with no heating and a cold house. Recent reviews that mention a quick response, a fair price and a working boiler are what they scan for. Because you see service customers every year, you have regular chances to ask, as long as you ask everyone.

Prices were re-checked on each provider's own page; the date is next to each one. Rules and figures from GOV.UK are linked where they're used.

Ask after a fix, not before

The best moment is when the heating's back on. Send your Google review link or QR code from your Business Profile (Google) in the text that confirms the job's done. For annual service customers, ask once, not every year.

Rules on incentives

A discount on next year's service in return for a review breaks Google's policy, which bans discounts, payment or free work for reviews and asking only happy customers (Google). UK law since April 2025 also bans concealed incentivised reviews (CMA).

Replies that build trust

If a review raises a safety worry, reply calmly, say you'll come back and check, and mention you're Gas Safe registered if you are. Registration is a legal requirement for gas work (GOV.UK), so claiming it when you're not is both misleading and illegal. Claude can draft a calm first version of a reply; edit it before posting.

Questions

Can I offer a discount for a Google review?

No. Google's policy bans offering payment, discounts or free goods or services for reviews, and UK law since April 2025 bans concealed incentivised reviews. Ask every customer, with no reward.

Should I ask service customers every year?

No need. Ask once after a good service or repair; asking every year can feel like pressure.

Are these prices in pounds?

Not all. Where a provider only publishes US dollar prices we show dollars, so check the price in pounds at checkout.

Do you get paid if I sign up?
