AI review tools for electricians in the UK

People choosing an electrician want to know you're qualified, tidy and turn up when you say. Reviews answer the last two better than any advert. This page covers the free way to collect Google reviews, the paid tools that automate it, and the rules that changed in April 2025.

Prices were re-checked on each provider's own page; the date is next to each one. Rules and figures from GOV.UK are linked where they're used.

A request after every job

Send the same short message with your Google review link to every customer when the job is signed off. Google lets you create the link or a QR code from your Business Profile (Google). For EICRs ordered by an agent, the agent is your customer, so ask them, not the tenant.

Rules on incentives and filtering

Google forbids paying or discounting for reviews and selectively asking happy customers (Google). UK law since 6 April 2025 bans fake reviews and concealed incentivised reviews (CMA), and the CMA can fine businesses up to 10% of global turnover for breaking consumer law (CMA).

Accreditations in replies and profiles

It's natural to mention your scheme in a reply, such as NICEIC or NAPIT (GOV.UK). Only claim what you hold: misusing a trust mark is banned outright under the DMCC Act (CMA). If a reviewer raises a safety concern, reply briefly, offer to inspect, and take the detail offline.

What to check before you choose

  • Volume first: under about two jobs a day, a manual text with your Google link is usually enough.
  • NiceJob ($75 a month Starter) and Podium ($399 Core) price in dollars; checked 15 and 14 October 2026.
  • Trustpilot's free plan allows 50 automated invitations a month; paid plans are billed annually per domain.
  • Every customer must get the same request; no review gating.
  • Can the tool pull completed jobs from your job app?

A prompt to start with

Paste this into ChatGPT or Claude, filling in the brackets:

Draft a reply to this Google review of my electrical business: [paste review]. Thank them, address the point they raised factually, mention we're [scheme, only if true] registered if relevant, and invite them to call [number] if anything needs a second look. Under 80 words, polite, British spelling, no excuses.

Questions

Can I offer a discount for a Google review?

No. Google's policy bans offering payment, discounts or free goods or services for reviews, and UK law since April 2025 bans concealed incentivised reviews. Ask every customer, with no reward.

Should I reply to every review?

Google says you don't need to thank every reviewer publicly; reply when you have something useful to add, and always reply to negative reviews calmly.

Are these prices in pounds?

Not all. Where a provider only publishes US dollar prices we show dollars, so check the price in pounds at checkout.

Do you get paid if I sign up?

Some links may become affiliate links, and we'll label them when they do. It doesn't change what we list. See how we make money.
