How much is Adobe Firefly in the UK?
Short answer
Adobe Firefly Standard costs £9.98 a month in the UK, Firefly Pro £19.99 and Firefly Pro Plus £47.99, all including VAT, according to Adobe's UK plans page (checked 18 October 2026). A free plan gives a small number of generative credits. Paid plans add monthly credits for premium video and audio features.

The UK App Store sells a separate Firefly mobile subscription at £4.99 a month or £49.99 a year, plus credit packs from £4.99 for 500 credits. If you only make the odd image on your phone, that can be the cheapest paid route.
How generative credits work
Adobe meters its AI with generative credits. On paid Firefly plans, standard image features such as text to image and Generative Fill do not use up your allowance in the normal way, but premium features do, especially video, audio, translation and partner models. A few seconds of AI video can use far more credits than dozens of images. Credits reset each month and do not roll over.
If you already pay for Creative Cloud, you have a monthly credit allowance included, so check your account before buying a separate Firefly plan.
Which plan should a small business choose?
- Social posts and the odd product image: start on the free plan or the £4.99 mobile plan, then move to Standard if you hit the limit.
- Regular marketing work with editing: Firefly Pro at £19.99 makes sense because it bundles Adobe Express Premium and Photoshop on web and mobile. If you were going to pay for Express anyway, the AI is effectively thrown in.
- Video ads or lots of variations: look at Pro Plus, and work out how many seconds of video you need a month before you commit.

A worked example
A café owner wants four promotional images a week for Instagram, plus one short video clip a month for a seasonal menu. The images are standard features, so Firefly Standard at £9.98 covers them. The monthly video clip draws on the 2,000 credits, which is usually enough for a handful of short clips. Is Firefly safe for commercial use?
Adobe says its own Firefly models were trained on licensed content, such as Adobe Stock, and public domain material, and it designs them to be commercially safe. That is a vendor promise, not a legal guarantee. Avoid prompts that name living artists, brands or real people, and check the result does not look like someone else's logo or character. Common mistakes
- Buying Firefly when your Creative Cloud plan already includes credits.
- Planning video work on Standard and running out of credits in the first week.
- Forgetting the Pro Plus and Premium offer prices end, so the bill rises after the first year.
- Assuming partner models carry the same commercial safety promise as Adobe's own models.
