Best AI tools for window cleaners (UK): rounds, payments and admin
These are the best AI tools for window cleaners in the UK, picked job by job: round management, getting paid, winning new customers, missed calls, reviews and accounts. It sits under our best AI tools for tradesmen hub and links to the AI for window cleaners hub. A window round is lots of small, repeat jobs, so the wins are a round app that remembers who's due, payments that collect themselves, and less time chasing.
Prices checked: 14 to 18 October 2026 on each provider's own page (the same figures as our tools directory). Some companies price in US dollars, so the pound cost moves with the exchange rate.

Round apps
General job apps price by jobs or users, which gets expensive on a round of hundreds of small cleans: ServiceM8's Premium plan is £119 a month for 500 jobs. Round apps built for window cleaners charge a flat monthly fee instead. Squeegee's pricing page says plans start at £15.83 a month + VAT (checked 18 October 2026; the individual tier prices didn't load for us, so check the tier you need). Look for: 4, 6 or 8-weekly repeats, route order by street, "job done" texts, Direct Debit or card collection, and an easy export of your customer list if you leave.
Getting paid
Most round customers aren't in when you call. A "cleaned today" text with a payment link, or Direct Debit set up once, beats knocking back for cash. Card readers for the doorstep: SumUp at 1.69% with no monthly fee, or Square and Zettle at 1.75%. Compare them at £1,000, £3,000 and £6,000 a month in best card readers UK. For the few who never pay, the payment reminder generator writes polite, firm and final reminders.
New customers and leaflets
AI writes a decent leaflet in seconds: what you clean (frames, sills, conservatory roofs, gutters), how often, how they pay and how to sign up. Design it in Canva. Write your Google profile with the Google Business Profile description generator and set prices with the price list generator.
Texts and emails to existing customers about a similar service are allowed under the "soft opt-in", as long as you gave them a simple way to opt out when you took their details and in every message (ICO, checked 15 October 2026). Anyone else needs to have opted in. Prompts: ChatGPT prompts for window cleaners.
Working at height
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 apply to employers and anyone who controls work at height: the work must be planned, supervised and done by competent people (HSE). HSE says ladders aren't banned and can be sensible for low-risk, short-duration tasks, but shouldn't automatically be the first choice (HSE: ladders). AI can lay out a risk assessment template; the judgement on each job is yours.
Calls, reviews and accounts
Up a pole or a ladder, you can't answer. A voicemail that says when you'll call back, recorded with the voicemail greeting generator, plus an AI receptionist for busy weeks: see AI receptionist cost UK. Ask regulars for a Google review once you've done a few cleans. For tax, estimate your bill with the self-employed tax calculator and claim van costs with the mileage allowance calculator.

FAQ
What is the best app for window cleaners in the UK?
A round app built for window cleaning usually works out cheapest for a big round, because it charges a flat fee rather than per job. Squeegee starts at £15.83 a month + VAT. For a small round, ServiceM8's free plan covers 30 jobs a month.
How do window cleaners take payment when customers are out?
Send a "cleaned today" text with a payment link, or set up Direct Debit once through your round app. Carry a card reader such as SumUp (1.69%, no monthly fee) for customers who are in.
Can I text my customers about gutter cleaning?
If they're existing customers and you gave them a simple way to opt out when you took their details and in every message, the soft opt-in usually covers similar services. Otherwise they need to have opted in.
Can window cleaners still use ladders?
Yes. HSE says ladders aren't banned and can be sensible for low-risk, short-duration tasks, but they shouldn't automatically be the first choice. Plan the work and use competent people.
Can AI help a window cleaning business?
Yes: leaflets, price lists, missed-clean and price-rise texts, review replies and posts. Keep customers' names and addresses out of chatbots.
