Best AI tools for yoga teachers (UK): classes, bookings and admin

These are the best AI tools for yoga teachers in the UK, picked job by job: class bookings and payments, health questionnaires, music in class, newsletters, posts and accounts. It links to the AI tools for yoga and fitness studios hub and sits alongside our best AI tools for personal trainers guide. Most yoga teachers hire halls and teach a handful of weekly classes, so the wins are simple booking links, fewer emails about spaces and less admin on a Sunday night.

Prices checked: 14 to 18 October 2026 on each provider's own page (the same figures as our tools directory). Some companies price in US dollars, so the pound cost moves with the exchange rate.

Bookings and class packs

A booking link stops "is there space on Tuesday?" messages. Calendly's free plan is enough for a few weekly classes; class packs and memberships suit a studio booking system such as Timely. Take card payments at the hall with SumUp or Zettle. Write a fair late-cancellation rule with the cancellation policy generator.

Health forms and data

A pre-class health questionnaire collects health information, which is special category data under UK GDPR and needs extra care (ICO, checked 18 October 2026). Keep forms in your booking system or a locked folder, ask only what you need, and never paste students' health details into a chatbot. AI is good at drafting the form's questions and a plain-English privacy note; you decide what you collect.

Music in class

If you play recorded music in a hall, you usually need TheMusicLicence from PPL PRS. Its own example, correct as of July 2026, is a fitness instructor teaching three classes a week for 50 weeks a year in a village hall or community centre: £345 a year, about £2.30 a class, plus VAT (PPL PRS: fitness classes, checked 18 October 2026). If you teach in a gym or studio, ask whether its licence covers your class. PPL PRS also says to check that your streaming service's terms allow commercial use before playing it in class.

Newsletters, posts and timetables

A short weekly email with the timetable keeps classes full. Brevo's free plan is a good start; only email people who opted in or are existing students under the soft opt-in, and give an easy unsubscribe (ICO: electronic mail marketing). Use Canva for timetables and the social media post generator for captions. Set out class and pack prices with the price list generator, and ask for Google reviews without any reward (CMA guide).

Accounts and tax

Many teachers combine yoga with another job. Compare the trading allowance with your real costs (hall hire, insurance, mats, music licence), and estimate tax with the self-employed tax calculator.

FAQ

Do yoga teachers need a music licence?

Usually, if you play recorded music in a hall. PPL PRS's own July 2026 example for three classes a week in a village hall is £345 a year plus VAT. If you teach in a gym or studio, its licence may cover you.

What is the best booking system for a yoga teacher?

For a few weekly classes, Calendly's free plan or Square's free plan is enough. A growing studio with class packs may suit Timely, from $26 per staff member a month.

Can I use AI to write a health questionnaire?

Yes, to draft the questions. Health information is special category data, so collect only what you need, store it securely and keep it out of chatbots.

Should yoga teachers send a newsletter?

A short weekly timetable email works well. Send it only to people who opted in or existing students, with an unsubscribe link.

How much do yoga teachers pay for apps?

You can run a small timetable on free plans plus card fees. A fuller set-up with paid bookings, email and accounts was roughly $12, from $13 and £19 a month when we checked.
