Best AI tools for kitchen fitters (UK): quotes, stages and admin
The best AI tools for a UK kitchen fitter help with the parts of the job that run over weeks: a supply-and-fit quote with clear stage payments, a delivery and trades timeline that survives a late worktop, and a handover pack that stops aftercare calls. This guide picks one free start and one paid tool for each, plus the rules that catch kitchen fitters out (gas hobs, cooker circuits, offering finance and CIS). It sits under our AI tools for joiners and carpenters hub alongside best AI tools for joiners.
We took each price from the provider's own pricing page on 15 to 18 October 2026. Where a company charges in dollars, your cost depends on the exchange rate. We don't take payment for listings and there are no affiliate links here (how we make money).

The supply-and-fit quote
Kitchen quotes go wrong at the edges: who orders the appliances, who templates the worktop, who removes the old units, who makes good the walls and floor. List each one with a name next to it. If you supply the units, quote supply and fit separately so the customer can see where the money goes. Then set stage payments against things the customer can see (units delivered, carcasses fitted, worktops in, handover) with our stage payment schedule.
AI is good at turning a page of site notes and measurements into a tidy schedule of works. Ask it to flag anything you haven't priced. You check every measurement yourself.
Lead times: worktops, appliances and the trades diary
Stone and composite worktops are usually templated after the base units are fitted, then made, so there's a gap the customer needs to know about. Integrated appliances, sinks and taps often arrive on different days. Ask Claude or ChatGPT to turn your list of delivery dates, trades and fitting days into a week-by-week timeline in plain English, and to rewrite it the moment a date moves. Fergus and YourTradeBase keep the job, notes and photos together so the whole team sees the change.
Gas hobs, cooker circuits and the building regulations
GOV.UK says new power and lighting points and changes to existing circuits don't need building regulations approval (except around baths and showers), and nor does replacing a sink; replacing fuse boxes and heating systems is not exempt (GOV.UK, checked 18 October 2026). A new cooker circuit or consumer unit needs an electrician registered with a competent person scheme or building control. Connecting or moving a gas hob must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer (HSE).
Offering finance on a new kitchen
If you arrange finance for customers, that's credit broking, and the FCA lists credit brokers among the firms that need its authorisation (FCA). Many fitters refer customers to a supplier's finance instead. Don't let an AI tool write finance wording for your quotes or website; use the lender's approved text.
The handover pack
A short handover pack (appliance manuals and warranty registration links, worktop care, how to adjust hinges, who to call) looks professional and cuts aftercare calls. Make it once as a Canva or Gamma template, then let AI fill in each job's appliance list. Add the date warranties start.
Old kitchens and waste
Removing the old kitchen means carrying waste. GOV.UK says a business that transports waste must register; it's usually free if you only carry waste you produce yourself, otherwise £191.02 (GOV.UK, checked 18 October 2026).
CIS on kitchen work
HMRC's CIS manual lists installing fitted kitchens as within CIS, and says a contract to supply and install a fitted kitchen counts because of the installation (CISR14150, CISR14020). Fitting for a showroom that acts as a contractor? Check statements with our CIS calculator.
Reviews and photos
Ask for a review at handover, when the kitchen looks its best, using our review request generator, and don't offer anything in return. Post the before-and-after with the social post generator.

FAQ
What is the best software for a kitchen fitter?
ServiceM8's free plan covers one user and 30 jobs a month. For multi-week supply-and-fit jobs, Fergus Essentials was from £39 a month and YourTradeBase £29 a month plus VAT when we checked.
Who can connect a gas hob?
Only a Gas Safe registered engineer competent for that work, according to HSE.
Do I need FCA authorisation to offer kitchen finance?
Arranging finance is credit broking, which the FCA lists among activities needing authorisation. Many fitters refer customers to a supplier's own finance instead.
Is kitchen fitting covered by CIS?
Yes. HMRC's CIS manual lists installing fitted kitchens as within CIS, including supply-and-install contracts.
Can AI plan the order of a kitchen fit?
It can turn your dates and notes into a clear timeline for the customer and rewrite it when a delivery moves. You decide the order of work.
