Know your fees before you price
On Etsy UK, a listing costs $0.20 (shown as £0.15) and lasts four months or until it sells; when it sells there's a 6.5% transaction fee on the price including postage, plus a 4% + £0.20 payment processing fee for UK sellers. Etsy also lists a 15% Offsite Ads fee on sales from those ads and a 0.48% Regulatory Operating fee (Etsy UK: sell, Etsy payment processing fees, checked 18 October 2026). Listings
AI is good at turning your notes into a clear title, tags and a description: size, materials, care, personalisation and dispatch time. Keep every claim true: don't call something "sterling silver" or "organic" unless it is. Check Etsy's own rules on what counts as handmade before you list.
Photos
Use real photos of your product. Canva and Adobe Express are good for backgrounds, mock-ups and banners, but an image that makes a product look different from what arrives leads to returns and can mislead buyers.
Customer messages and returns
