How do you write prompts for AI website builders?
Short answer
A good AI website builder prompt says what you do, where, for whom, and what visitors should do next. Include your services, area, tone, the pages you need and a call to action such as "call for a quote". The more real detail you give, the less generic the site. Then rewrite the copy in your own words.
What to include
- Business and location: "Domestic electrician covering Leeds and Wakefield."
- Customers: homeowners, landlords or businesses.
- Services: list them, with any accreditations you actually hold.
- Pages: home, services, about, reviews, contact.
- Tone: friendly and plain, no hype.
- Action: phone number, quote form or booking link.
Template to copy
"Build a website for [business name], a [trade] in [town] serving [areas]. Customers are mainly [type]. Services: [list]. We are [accreditations]. Tone: friendly, clear and local. Pages: Home, Services, About, Reviews, Contact. Main action: call [number] or request a quote. Use simple layouts that work well on mobile, and leave space for real photos of our work."
