How much does an AI video generator cost?
Short answer
AI video generators cost from about £5 to £35 a month for a small business. Google AI Plus, which includes video generation in Gemini, is £4.49 a month in the UK App Store, Runway Standard is £14.99, and HeyGen Creator is £29 (checked 17 October 2026). Free plans exist, but they usually add watermarks or tight limits.

Prices are monthly in-app or web prices; yearly plans are usually cheaper. Credit-based tools limit how many seconds you can generate each month.
Free options
Synthesia's Basic plan is free with a watermark. Meta's Vibes can make short AI videos where available; see does Meta AI cost money? Gemini's video generation needs a paid Google AI plan.

What a small business needs
For social clips, a Google AI plan or Canva Pro is usually enough. For a talking presenter in training or product videos, look at HeyGen or Synthesia. Check the licence covers commercial use before you post.

In the Gemini app and Flow, Google has replaced Veo with its Gemini Omni video model. You get it through Google AI Plus (£4.49), Pro (£18.99) or Ultra (£189.99) a month on the UK App Store, with 200, 1,000 or 10,000 plus Flow credits a month (checked 18 October 2026). Developers can still use Veo 3.1 through the paid Gemini API.
Is Veo 3 available in the UK?
Yes. Google's video generation is available in the UK through Google AI plans in the Gemini app and Flow. Features vary by plan and region, and you must be 18 or over to use Flow.
Is Veo 3 free?
Not really. Google lists video generation as a paid Google AI plan feature, and Flow credits come with Plus, Pro and Ultra. New subscribers sometimes get a free trial month.
