Which AI is best for writing?
Short answer
Claude is often the best AI for long, natural-sounding writing, such as proposals, reports and website copy. ChatGPT is the best all-rounder for everyday drafting. If you write in Word or Google Docs, Copilot or Gemini inside the document saves copying back and forth. Whatever you use, edit the draft so it sounds like you.

Make AI writing sound human
- Give it examples of your own writing and ask it to match the style.
- Add real details: your town, a real job, a real price.
- Cut stock phrases and anything you wouldn't say out loud.
- Use British spelling: say so in your instructions.
