How do I get an invoice for my ChatGPT subscription?
Short answer
For ChatGPT Plus or Pro, open Settings, then Account, then Payment, then Manage, and download past invoices from Invoice History. For ChatGPT Business, open Workspace settings, then Billing, then Invoices. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the receipt is in that store's purchase history, not in ChatGPT.
Step by step
Plus or Pro (web):
- Sign in at chatgpt.com with the account that pays.
- Select your profile icon, then Settings, then Account.
- Under Payment, select Manage to open the billing portal.
- Download invoices under Invoice History.
Business: Workspace settings, then Billing, then Invoices. You need to be a workspace owner.
App Store or Google Play: Find the receipt in your Apple or Google purchase history.
Can't see your invoices?
OpenAI says to check you're signed in to the right account or workspace, with the same sign-in method you used to subscribe (Google, Apple, Microsoft or email). If you still can't find them, contact OpenAI Support through the chat on help.openai.com with your account email.
Get your business name and VAT number on it
Edit your billing information before the next payment. Changes only apply to future invoices. See is there VAT on ChatGPT?
Keep it for your records
Save each invoice with your bookkeeping. If you're claiming the subscription as a business cost, HMRC expects you to keep records of what you spent. See can I claim ChatGPT as a business expense?

Contact OpenAI Support with the invoice number and the correction you need. OpenAI says it will review it, but a reissue isn't guaranteed.

No. OpenAI says Plus is billed monthly, so you get a monthly invoice.
