Explain a delay
Fill in the [brackets], paste into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot, and check the draft before you use it.
Write an email telling a customer their [order / job] will be [X days] late because [reason]. Apologise once, give the new date, and offer [small gesture].
Before you use it
- Leave out customer names, addresses and bank details; use placeholders.
- Ask for changes: "shorter", "less formal", "use British spelling".
- Check facts, figures and anything legal before sending.
