Short answer
ChatGPT is free to use in the UK. Paid plans in the UK App Store are Go at £6.99, Plus at £19.99 and Pro from £88.90 a month (checked 17 October 2026). On the web, OpenAI lists Plus at $20 a month and bills in US dollars in most countries, so check the figure at checkout.
UK prices (17 October 2026)
| Plan | UK App Store price | Web list price | More detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | £0 | $0 | Is ChatGPT free in the UK? |
| Go | £6.99 a month | Shown at checkout | ChatGPT Go in the UK |
| Plus | £19.99 a month | $20 a month | ChatGPT Plus limits |
| Pro | £88.90, £200 or £444.99 a month | $100, $200 or $500 a month | ChatGPT Pro in the UK |
App Store prices come from Apple's UK listing for the ChatGPT app. Web prices come from OpenAI's help articles and pricing page. OpenAI says purchases are in US dollars, with local-currency billing in a limited set of countries, so your card statement in pounds moves with the exchange rate. OpenAI says Go, Plus and Pro don't offer annual billing.
