ChatGPT prompts for florists (UK)
These prompts cover the writing a florist does every week: product descriptions, delivery prices, wedding and event quotes, order messages, care cards and review replies. Fill in the [brackets], paste into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, and check the draft before you use it. AI tools can get rules wrong, so check anything legal yourself. We checked the rules below on 15 October 2026.

Your shop and website
1. Product description
Write a product description for my [bouquet/arrangement] called [name]: [flowers and foliage], [colours], [size or stem count], [vase or wrap], price [£amount]. Say that flowers may be substituted with similar ones of equal value if [stem] isn't available. Warm, honest, no claims I haven't given, British spelling, 60 to 90 words.
2. Delivery prices shown up front
Write a short delivery information section for my florist website. Delivery is [£amount] to [areas or postcodes], [£amount] further out, [same-day cut-off time], [Sunday or not]. Say clearly that the delivery charge is shown with the bouquet price before checkout, and that the total includes it. Plain English, British spelling, under 120 words.
Since 6 April 2025, it's illegal to show a headline price and add compulsory charges later ("drip pricing"). The total price should normally include any fee the customer must pay, such as delivery. If a delivery charge varies (for example by location) and you can't work it out in advance, you must give enough information for customers to work out the total, as prominently as the headline price (CMA: providing clear and accurate information about prices).
3. Returns and cancellation wording for online orders
Write a short, plain-English section for my website on cancelling and changing flower orders: how to change the delivery date or message ([deadline]), when an order can be cancelled for a refund ([before we start making it]), and what we'll do if flowers arrive damaged ([photo within hours, replace or refund]). Fair, British spelling, under 150 words.
The usual 14-day right to cancel online orders doesn't apply to goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, or goods made to the customer's specifications (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 28). Fresh flowers will often fall within this, but customers still have rights if the goods are faulty or not as described.
Weddings and events
4. Wedding flower quote
Write a clear wedding flower quote for [couple names] for [date] at [venue]. Items: [bridal bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, buttonholes, table centres, arch], with a price for each and a total [£amount]. Include delivery and set-up ([£amount or included]), collection of hire items, a deposit of [amount] to secure the date, when the balance is due ([weeks before]), when final numbers are needed, and that seasonal flowers may be swapped for similar ones. Plain English, British spelling.
5. Deposit and cancellation terms for weddings
Write short, fair terms for wedding and event flowers. Rules: [deposit] secures the date; cancel more than [months] before for [refund of what]; closer to the date, we keep [an amount linked to costs we can't recover, such as flowers already ordered]; date changes [how handled]. Plain English, no small print, British spelling, under 150 words.
Keep it fair: the Consumer Rights Act 2015 lists, as a term that may be unfair, one requiring a consumer who decides not to go ahead to pay a disproportionately high sum in compensation or for services not supplied (Schedule 2, paragraph 5).
Orders and aftercare
6. Order confirmation
Write a short order confirmation message: [order number], [bouquet], delivery to [recipient name] on [date] between [times], card message "[message]", total paid [£amount including delivery]. Say how to contact us to change anything before [cut-off]. Friendly, British spelling, under 120 words.
7. Flower care card
Write a short flower care card for my bouquets: trim stems at an angle, fresh water every [days], keep away from direct sun, radiators and fruit bowls, remove leaves below the waterline, use the flower food sachet. Keep only the tips I've listed, warm and simple, British spelling, under 80 words.
8. Seasonal post
Write an Instagram post for [Valentine's Day / Mother's Day / Christmas] at my florist in [town]. Mention [what we're offering], prices from [£amount including delivery to the local area, or say delivery is extra and how much], the order deadline ([date]) and how to order ([link]). No fake urgency, British spelling, under 120 words, plus 5 hashtags.
Reviews
9. Ask for a Google review
Write a short message to [customer name] thanking them for their order and asking if they'd leave an honest Google review here: [link]. Easy to say no, no discount or gift, under 300 characters, British spelling.
Don't offer anything in return for reviews: see can Google detect fake reviews?
10. Reply to a complaint about a delivery
A customer says their [bouquet] arrived [late / damaged / looking different from the photo]. Write a calm, kind reply that apologises, explains briefly [any reason, such as a substitution], and offers [a replacement on date / partial refund / full refund]. Don't argue, British spelling, under 120 words.

FAQ
Do florists have to include delivery in the price?
Compulsory charges should normally be included in the total price you show. If delivery varies and can't be worked out in advance, you must give enough information for customers to work out the total, according to the CMA.
Can customers cancel an online flower order within 14 days?
The 14-day cancellation right doesn't apply to goods that deteriorate rapidly or are made to the customer's specifications. Customers still have rights if flowers arrive faulty or not as described.
Can I keep a wedding deposit if the couple cancels?
Many florists do, but the terms must be fair. A term requiring a disproportionately high payment when a consumer cancels may be unfair under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
